Lisa & Cliff's Flagstaff Mountain Wedding

On Saturday I shot Lisa and Cliff's wedding on Flagstaff Mtn. in Boulder, CO.  We had low fog for the ceremony at the stone shelter at Realization Point.  This was a very intimate wedding with a few friends and family.  Since Realization point is not yet open for season we had to walk up to the shelter.  I got some great images on everyone walking along in the fog.  Enjoy!

Jen & Brandon's Engagement Session

Greetings.  This was a busy weekend of shooting.  I had Jen and Brandon's engagement shoot on Friday afternoon.  We had nice light and good weather.  I am looking forward to shooting their wedding at The Sanctuary in November.  Enjoy a few of the images.

Why hire a professional?

Your wedding story is the culmination of two lives coming together. Each bride and groom has chosen to trust each other with marriage, a very critical life decision. The wedding is a celebration of this trust. Once the wedding is over, the food and decorations are gone and the wedding day is a memory.

So a beautifully photographed wedding can be a way to relive the wedding day. With this in mind it is important to understand that photographing a wedding is a very skilled and technically demanding task. Professional photographers such as myself are very seasoned and prepared to capture your wedding memories. Sometimes couples elect to hire an amateur for a couple of hundred dollars or give the job to a uncle who has a good camera. A quality camera does not ensure that quality photographs can be taken.

I hear too often of couples who tell me that they regret letting a friend or amateur photograph their wedding. Your wedding happens once in a lifetime. For me, weddings happen nearly every Saturday beginning May through October and have since 1995.  Photography is a craft, art, and passion of mine and I take pride in making sure your wedding story is carefully captured. As a photographer I am constantly thinking 3 steps ahead during every moment of a wedding.

Lighting conditions, events, composition opportunities, interactions on a wedding day change quickly. A good camera cannot just take over and capture these fleeting moments accurately. A trained and seasoned wedding professional can.

Denver Marriott West Remodel

On Thursday I shot the open house event for the Denver Marriott West.  This was an event to celebrate their major hotel remodel.  They went all out.  There were business leaders from all over the metro area.  I overheard many positive remarks about the updates to the hotel.  The grand ballroom looks amazing.  I shot a corporate event here in early December, before the remodel and I must say it did need some updates.  Well, they did a fantastic job.  Just check out the images.  If you are looking for a venue you might give them a call.  The amazing ice sculpture was provided by Michael Campe - www.coloradoicesculptures.com
